About Us

The Empire Podcasting System, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, produces high-quality radio drama using time-honored principles and the best contemporary actors.  Michael Byers, award-winning novelist and short-story writer, is the founder and director of Empire Podcasting.

Empire Podcasting's first show, Mary from Michigan Saves the World, debuted this summer. Set in present-day Michigan and considering present-day issues, we tell the ongoing story of young Mary Marshall and her search for truth in a world of peril, fortune, and fate. 

The show is a 10- to 12-minute podcast.
